The Company is expanding into new commodity/ markets and has created a new position to be part of the commercial team. You will identify and develop business opportunities that is aligned to The Company‘s business direction.
We are looking for the right candidate who possess strong commercial acumen and potential to take on a trading role in 2-3 years.
Work with the commercial teams to identify and develop opportunities in soft commodities
Develop new product knowledge through analysis of data and research into regulation.
Identify and mapping supply chains of these products in the region and beyond.
Perform market research of trade players and competitor analysis.
Communicate data/ research effectively to the commercial team.
Support commercial team in initiating business strategy with contact lists, credit papers, new product proposals.
Prepare internal business strategy presentations/ business proposals for internal stakeholders supported with robust data and information through above research.
Ensure the new business lines are mapped into the dynamic 5 Year Plans that the business has in the region.
Prepare presentation material of ongoing business updates for management meetings.
Comply with any reasonable instruction issued by your manager.
Bachelors’ degree from a recognized university.
2 years of relevant experience business development/ commercial analysis in commodities trading sector.
Possess some knowledge in soft commodity sector.
Knowledge in international import/export trade and shipping terms would be useful but not essential.
Experience in visualization tools, like PowerBI, definitely PowerPoint, etc. will be added advantage.
