This role reports to the Head of Finance, Asia and will also work closely with the regional Trade Finance, Treasury, Accounting and Operations teams.

You will be responsible for month-end closing, variance analysis, financial statement preparation, annual budget calculations and quarterly/annual GST/corporation tax submissions for the Singapore entity. There will be opportunity to develop your finance related skills with exposure to the rest of the business areas carried out of the Singapore Office. Role may be converted to permanent depending on the business needs.


Be responsible for bookkeeping and maintaining all accounting ledger data - revenue, accruals, prepayments, and invoice processing for monthly management reporting.
Prepare month end group reports including trial balance, balance sheet, P&L, overheads variance analysis with comments, accounting balance schedules.
Summarizing of AR/AP ageing schedules for review.
Monthly fixed asset reconciliation.
Coordinate with head office on the intercompany balance and to ensure sufficient working capital to fund entity requirements.
Liaise with HR/ Treasury team to correctly account for payroll and subsequent taxes.
Work with external party/ advisors to ensure timely and accurate submissions of Singapore corporation tax and GST returns.
Work closely with head office on group reporting requirements, budgeting, statutory audit and any other ad-hoc reporting tasks/queries.
Liaise and resolve queries from auditors, corporate secretary, banks and tax agent.
Identify control improvements and efficiency opportunities around the existing processes
Assist with the development/testing/implementation of new systems
Take responsibility for your performance and to work together to achieve our organizational goals
Attend training courses which are identified as being necessary for the performance of the role
To be fully conversant with the Employee Handbook and supporting policies, including Health & Safety legislation and fire and emergency procedures
To comply with any reasonable instruction issued by your manager.


Bachelors’ degree in accounting/ finance.
1-3 years of relevant experience in finance and accounting
PC literate to include Microsoft Office / Excel / Outlook
Good attention to detail, flexible approach with initiative and ability to manage priorities is essential.
Ability to act with integrity when dealing with confidential matters
Fresh graduate with strong interest to explore commodity trading sector can be considered
